MORE COUSINS!!!!!!!!!

Just when Sully thinks he's got all the cousins he can handle...he gets more. And boy was he excited about it. I think excited too that they are not babies. So we met the SC and Boston folks in Anderson and spent the afternoon at Chick-fil-a. ~caroline~alex~sully~harrison~

WHILE WE WERE IN PERU, I THINK HARRISON MISSED...

TAPE!the sign-in sheet for his bedroom...
complete with pencil holder

he's a found object art machine!
today's project is an empty windex bottle with painters tape on it. i don't know what it's going to be, but it's sacred...so don't EVEN suggest throwing it in the recycling. the pic above is a hammock. i talked him out of swinging in it and letting puppy.

STORY TIME

After the Peru trip, we are doing lots of free or really cheap summer outings. We went to storytelling at the church. I think we need to get there earlier next time so we don't have to fight the grandmas for the good seats!

CHEAP DATE

So we had free chick-fil-a coupons from VBS. Why not hop on marta and eat at CNN Center?

Sully navigates...

and then shows us his bottom...

and we're off...

the toy!!! did we get the toy??? what is the toy??? can we open the toy??? is it a boy toy or a girl toy???

it was so much fun watching Harrison look around, never noticing the cartoon network store. i couldn't stand it anymore and had to tell him. we went in and only spent $1 on candy...

...and then we returned home.

GREETINGS FROM PERU

Peru was so much fun and such a beautiful country. These pictures only scratch the surface...just some highlights...

Our room was totally open to the jungle on one side. It didn't have a screen or anything. The staff let down the mosquito net at night and lit the kerosene lamps.

the dining room

We had three hikes on our free day at the lodge. We did the canopy tower. You can see our shadow under the tree branches on the left. We also went on a tour of a local farm and got to sample the good stuff. Bob went on a hike to a lake and cayman hunting. Caymans are like alligators. They went fishing for piranha...Bob caught a sardine.

We left the jungle and went to Cuzco. I love Cuzco!!! Here is the famous 12 angle stone and our conductor, Simon

I think we went to eight Inca sights, but Machu Picchu was by far the most impressive. We were able to walk all over the place, explore the caves, fall to our deaths...it was fascinating and so much bigger than I had imagined.
