Harrison studied the story of John the Baptist baptizing Jesus and made a dove out of a paper plate. I told him how nice it was and he showed me the face. I ask him why God was looking scary and he said, "I don’t know! I just wanted him to have an angry face. Did I do a good job making scary teeth?" I had to admit that the teeth did look intimidating…

FERNBANK FOR FIVE
Harrison turned five on the 17th...I can say it now without getting weepy. We took two friends, Alexander and Jack, to Fernbank to celebrate. We saw skeletons, fossils, arrowheads and lots of real dead animals and fake dead animals. There were many questions about taxidermy and for the record- I do not know how they died and do not think the museum shot them! We also saw an IMAX movie about a safari in South Africa. It was a little long, but nothing that a bribe couldn't cure. So we hit the gift shop after the movie and headed home. It was a lot of fun!

IS IT JANUARY??
We went to Rutledge to see Pop-Pop and play outside. It has been so nice and warm. Pop-Pop looked good for somebody that had 72 spots burned in his heart. I thought this picture was cute- Sully was on the four wheeler and would not let me touch him. He held this face for a long time and it looked so much like Harrison. He's learned to say "no no no"...even when he means "yes". He will say "no" while doing the sign for "please". He's 17 months today and I remember with Harrison that 17-20 was the most challenging as of yet. Sullivan seems to be on the same track.

THE LAST HOORAY
We finally got to get together with MaMa for Christmas. Here are some pictures from our lunch at Grandpa and Sassy's-
These were known as "Grandpa's Gifts", but I think they really had someone else in mind! Who knows, Grandpa may have wanted a Hummer that climbs the wall and a flying saucer...
Think this may be imported?? Not sure, but there's a chance...

COLLARDS, BLACK-EYE PEAS AND A LITTLE BIT OF EVERYTHING ELSE...
HERE ARE SOME PICTURES OF THE FAMILY ON NEW YEAR'S IN MADISON.
Sully looking as hungover as Uncle Wes...
The kids made watermelon and pecan soup...guess there wasn't enough to eat inside.
This is Tiny and he's really mad at me. Just for the record- I'm not going to steal his checks and clean out his account...everything Panera serves does not have rice in it...Jeff Gordon was not in the yard kissing a man. The entrepreneurs- Carolyn, Elizabeth and the other kids shelled pecans and sold them for $.25 a cup. They made a good bit.
After his nap, Sully quickly amassed his full service fan club...

WHO KNEW SPARKLING GRAPE JUICE COULD BE SO EXCITING...
Here are some pictures from our New Year's Eve Party. We sent a picture to CNN and watched for it. There was lots of dancing and toasting. We didn't get them all in bed until about 1:15 am (we had to ring in the New Year with Chicago and New Orleans...don't ask me why I went along with this). But they had a great time and I had as much to clean up as the crew at Times Square.
Happy New Year!!
