HIBACHI

We took Harrison to eat hibachi on his birthday. He was so happy because it's been a very long time since our last visit... especially if you are nine. I was so happy because there was fire! Bob catching rice
and Sully missing rice.
fire!
pretty. mesmerizing. wonderful fire...
The official Japanese birthday hat and his new webkinz, Rex.
He also got clothes and an itunes card. My baby is growing up way to fast...

SNAKES... WHY'D IT HAVE TO BE SNAKES?

Harrison's 9th Birthday Party. Indiana Jones style....
We had the snake cake and accessories (thanks Sassy)
hieroglyphic goody bags to decode
bones from ancient civilizations
and bats.
But we also had snakes
close to children
really close...
thankfully, the poisonous one stayed in the tank.
there were colorful snakes
and large snakes
and shedding snakes
and posing snakes.
Peaches, the albino Burmese python, even stuck her tongue out for the picture.
and last, but not least, the snake they got to devour*

Happy Birthday Harrissssson!
*Apparently, nine is the age they start to eat more cake than they throw away. They ate almost the entire thing plus nearly 30 cups of ice-cream. It was incredible.... and a little unnerving.

NYE

The boys are really digging the play dates with the grown-ups.(stole this pic from Jen. cute, isn't it?)
Sully studying Monroe's happy holiday place.
Wii!
I didn't get a picture of Harrison with his sparkling pear juice. He was so impressed with his own bubbly to bring in the new year. Thanks, Amy! However, Sully was out before the countdown...
