I know everyone thinks their child is a budding artist, or a future Oscar winning actor, or the next (can't think of an entertainer that I admire except Oprah and the way Harrison likes to talk that is possible...but that's another post). Please folks, take a look at this child! The drama. The mixture of media- snot and paint....it's inspiring!

CHRISTMAS

When people ask me what I'm doing for Christmas and I tell them, they look at me with a mixture of shock, pitty, and wonder.
So here it is in pictures...

Christmas Eve Lunch- presents with Grandpa and Sassy!

Christmas Eve Afternoon-
Harrison played handbells at the 3:00 service.
It was so cute!

Christmas Eve Evening- Gift Exchange With
The Crackhead, Lolly & Pop-Pop...
I honestly think Lolly tried to do a little better. They don't have any toys at her house, so she took most of them home. As for Beck, I must have heard- "I did better this year!"..."We didn't over buy!"..."I did so good! You should have seen the stuff I put back."
I still can't figure out if she really believes all that or she's just in denial.

CHRISTMAS DAY-
SANTA!

Christmas Day Afternoon-
Mi-Mi's for lunch and more gifts...
Then to the barn to see Lolly's new horse...

Christmas Day Dinner- Grandmother's
In the chaos, I didn't get a single picture of my own children. I was trying to take one of Sully and Jessica thought I had a handful of trash.

AND NOW THE MOMENT WE'VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR.....
The very very most favoritest toy of all-

A $4.99 Shaving Set!

Merry Christmas!

TENNESSEE EXPRESS

We went to Blue Ridge to ride the Christmas Express. Harrison decided to call it the Tennessee express since we went to the state line and back and they sing about Tennessee in three of his favorite songs. It was fun, but a long three hours with trying to wrangle Sully. Santa was a big hit and so was the bathroom...

BABY JESUS IS BORN!

Harrison was a shepherd at the Baby Jesus Is Born program. He only waved to us about 600 times...That's a couple of hundred times less than at the Children's choir Christmas.

TAKING A NAP AFTER A BIG SNACK...

...IS THERE ANYTHING BETTER??

SUGAR HIGH!

Sassy made the boys a gingerbread house complete with candy cars...

BILLY SPINNER OR SPINNER BILLY

He's the rabbit Pop-Pop's coworker found in a flower bed at Crawford Long...I still suspect that it was bought and placed there by Pop-Pop! Sully just loves it and how can you say no to that?-must be the holidays and how I keep telling myself that nothing is going to stress me out. The only debate is the name. The folks at Crawford Long called him Billy Bob. Harrison wanted to name him Spinner after the pinwheels in the yard. So we either have B.S. or the little S.B.??

AMELIA ISLAND

We went to Amelia Island for a long weekend. Here are some of my favorite pictures...

Harrison was helping film Sullivan's first trip to the beach. I haven't watched the tape yet, but I think it's going to be a lot of sand and me yelling.
Sunrise! Someone should tell my kids that you are supposed to sleep late when you are on vacation!!!

The water was really cold, but that didn't stop Harrison. Sully was in heaven playing in the sand. He only tried to eat a few shells before he figured out they were not very appetizing.

Harrison is learning to read and spells everything. Sully points at books and says, "e-i-e-i" (his favorite part of Old McDonald). He mocks everything we do and say. It's really cute....most of the time!!

AUTUMN

We stay outside as much as we can. It gets dark so early and the days have been so nice. Sullivan will stay in the sandbox for hours. Harrison makes the best lunches (Cone Veggie Burger with a side of Stick Fries and a Leaf Salad). We also invented a game called tissue darts. It's wet toilet paper aimed at the chalkboard. It's lots of fun until Sully sees us and tries to suck all of the water out of the darts...

GUTTER TIME

Harrison is helping his Dad clean out the gutters. Sullivan is watching in amazement. I have that sick feeling that I'm going to be explaining to the triage nurse how my child was injured while I took pictures. Harrison assured me that it was alright because he had on gloves. Bob said it was ok because he likes to throw stuff at people. I guess the gutters are clean...now Sully's turn!

GETTING READY

Sullivan wanted to play peek-a-boo with his pants while I changed his diaper. Harrison wanted to photograph it, but Sully wanted the camera if Harrison touched it. So we compromised and Harrison got to shoot us putting on our shoes. Amazing what it takes to get out the door in the morning...
