last day with my 4 year-old...

we had breakfast for dinner and blackberry cobbler for dessert. then we went on an expedition... to find exoskeletons...
and found 13.
then we stole some figs before returning home...
then you walked up to me and said,
"I have a surprise in my hand. want to see it?"
You were very proud of your surprise and said you wanted to make me happy.
you did...
happy birthday, big guy...

SCHOOL LUNCH

Sully begged to buy his lunch on the second day. Pizza was on the menu and Harrison told him they call it "galaxy pizza". (We should call Harrison "Julie" because he is a very good cruise director. But I'm sure he wouldn't like being called a girl's name and that would make Sully use it even more... Maybe we could call him "McCoy"...)

anyway...

So I put some money in a bag, labeled it pizza and tucked it in his pocket.

I was very excited to get the update after school; was he able to navigate the cafeteria, what was his drink choice, did he only eat the banana pudding??

Sully's assessment: "I know why they call it galaxy pizza now. The cheese all over the top of it... it was green."

great...

Update:
Day Three- Fish Nuggets
Sully said they had "big gushy meat on the inside" and that he made the Clean Plate Club. He's packing tomorrow.

He also told us about a friend that has a "chip name". So we asked what is a "chip name" and he shrugged, "Ummm... like Doritos or something." I tried to approach the subject of maybe it being a "nickname"... he wouldn't hear of it...

AND THEY'RE OFF...

Harrison was a little excited, but more like cautiously optimistic. Sully was very excited. I was a nervous wreck. It's way too quite around here... I think I need a puppy or something...

CHARGING CAPACITOR CHATTING

The boys love to take apart any broken appliance or computer gizmo. Here is Sully explaining how he is going to make an electric drag car from a mouse. Harrison's invention doesn't have name. I'm calling it "give mom a heart attack"...
