TAKING A BREAK

Thanks to Hotwire, the boys and I took off for a little trip to Savannah.
hot kids + tired kids = we played until the sun went down. Harrison practiced his water bending skills.
Sully just kept being Sully.
I gave them a small backpack for "trip toys" and
look what they brought:
transformers
zuzu pets
fabric scrapsThe next day we took a trolley tour. I want this house. My birthday is in October.
Then we hit the beach.
For some splashing.
And twin Jack Johnson mini-me's.
And castle building.
And understated tattoo spotting.
And, well... to each his own.
We played and played until...
the beach ninjas were ready for dinner!
"We have that one, and that one, and that one..."
We changed in a public restroom, started walking, and found a nice place to have dinner.
I tried to give her Sully. I tried to stuff him into the little window where you place your order. Truly, I tried...
The next morning we went to Clary's for chocolate pancakes. And then to the Maritime Museum.
"We have that one, and that one, and that one..."
On to Old Fort Jackson to look at crabs.
I think I should open a stick, rope, water, fire, and crab museum. I could market it to little boys. I would be so rich. I could buy that house. (drums fingers... devises a plan...)
I got them to stop looking at the crabs for the customary "smile for mom" shot.
Our last stop was back to Tybee for some crab legs and gator feeding.
Then we went home. sigh.

(I have no idea why blogger moved this picture to the bottom.
I kind of like it and plan on leaving it here.)
