my camera died in San Diego. Before it died, I took many many pictures. I'm still sorting them. There will be a Spring Break post, but it might not be until Summer Break. So my photos are not up to par. But I try to teach my kids that things do not have to be perfect to enjoy them. Except when it comes to the placement of Star Wars action figures. You can not have a Clone Pilot Oddball where you should have Commander Rex. That is a given, but as for the blog... don't expect much in the way of photographic excellence from my $45 craig's list gem.
The blah that is winter has passed. We are playing harder, sleeping better and getting ready for summer. The creative juices are flowing...
Here are a couple of things the boys made me yesterday. Sully made a mom and baby heart. Harrison made a boiled egg with rosemary that he cut from the yard. He ate half and saved half for me. Unfortunately, I had just killed three of those Crystal Light flavored water packets and wasn't really in the mood for boiled egg. Those things are so addicting (the water, not the eggs). But he said it was tasty...
Today was all about poetry. Any time that wasn't spent on piano, choir, homework, or sneaking to the neighbors' to watch television was spent writing poems. Here is my favorite (as he wrote it):
Toy
The Toy
is
a Mase
with
many parts
and
when you go
in It
you have
to go throu
many thinges
and then
you come
out
agin
It would
be quite an
etvincher.
Every day is an etvincher around this place! Can't wait to see what tomorrow brings!

TRICKING THE FAIRY
Seems the tooth fairy forgot to visit Harrison last night. In her defense, the tooth did come out after he was already in bed. I told him it was probably on the list for tonight instead. He wasn't content and worried that the ziploc bag that housed the tooth was too large. He said it looked like she tried to move it, but only got to the edge.
Enter the trickster... So he decided to make it look like he was still sleeping and see if the tooth fairy would fall for it. I started to point out the one of the many obvious flaws in logic. I mean... come on!? How is it that a magical fairy knows there is a tiny tooth under a pillow and not a big-o eight year-old head under the blanket??
But I was wrong. It worked. The tooth was removed and dollar was in its place when he got home from school. I guess he also got out of doing his morning chores, too. Not bad... Not bad at all... Saturday, April 18, 2009
EASTER PICS...
Sunday, April 12, 2009
Brought to you by the letter "E"...
* Easter * Exhausted * Errational *
So Spring Break and Easter were obviously
a lot of fun and a little tiring.
So Spring Break and Easter were obviously

And if you are wondering- he's crying because he wants to steal Lolly and Pop-Pop's jacuzzi tub and replace my broken shower... at 8:30 pm... on Easter... with a crowbar... and sell the broken shower on Craig's List... because he can't get clean with a regular tub that doesn't shoot clean water... he needs fresh water in the jets... not "dirty dead skin water"... and you would have thought that after eight years, he would have acquired a better fake cry!
Happy Easter!

MARCH MACENESS
for his devoted fan club, here are some current pictures of his highness...
life post-heartworms is treating mace well.
he's even a little fat...
I wonder if he wonders why he's not allowed on the sofa, but is allowed to crawl all over bob until he's nice and comfy... he thought franklin gets a pet was a snore...he's even a little fat...
so did sully and carolyn. must. punish. the. bobo. waiting for chicken... getting ready to open a can of whoop-bobo on me because he thinks I want to snuggle with bob, too. pshaw! I just want to torment them both by running around and around the chair. he loves it almost as much as the camera flash...
and as for the real March Madness-
I had Memphis to win. :(
